So you're in the market for a new computer but you are bewildered by the options out there. Should you buy a new computer or will one of the inexpensive models do the trick? If you go new, do you get the most up to date system available or do you buy something a little lower end? Will a used computer do the trick for you?
While there's no way I could answer those questions for everyone, there are some things to consider in making the decision. Many people think "well I'll only be writing email and letters so I can get by with a dinosaur of a computer." There is some legitimacy to that but at the same time; being armed with some knowledge can make the experience that much better. And those that think they'll only send the odd email become quickly frustrated when they want to do more but find their computer too slow.
