Yesterday the World Health Organization confirmed that the coronavirus outbreak has met the definition of a pandemic. As an IT support company, we are frequently in the company of clients and can touch many keyboards in any given day. As such, it has always been our practice to frequently wash hands, but we have resolved to now and in the future:
- Whenever possible, provide service remotely
- Carry hand sanitizer with us on all jobs
- Sanitize our hands before touching any keyboard
- Encourage clients to explore technology to allow their own staff to work from home when necessary
It’s unclear how serious this pandemic will become, but we believe that precaution is warranted. Further, even in the absence of a pandemic, these measures are a sensible practice.
